3 Point Lighting
After a previous post about low cost lighting, I had an inquiry to further explain "3 Point Lighting". It's a very basic technique that we all should know if we're pointing a video camera at someone. I'm not an expert, but I share what I do know in the video above.

Hey Scott, you were in Louisiana?? Kewl, it's where I am. No big deal, I know, just groovy. Your work is awesome, BTW. I've made the stabilizer, the shock mount, and my own modified version of the boom pole. I was going to make the jib, but...umm, no. Don't think I want to fly my T2i around on something I made. Bought a cheap one on EBay for $149. Time and money. Drop camera, $1000. Cheap better made jib, $149. This is a great explanation of 3-point lighting. I've been teaching it for ages. Thanks for sharing your stuff.
On your key and fill, do you use soft white bulbs?
Jarrod, you are correct! Those are soft whites.
A question I've had, and the last subject brings it out, what do you do with the glasses and the reflection you get from your lights? Is that just an Oh well, or is there something you can do to minimize this?
