The Zoom H1 gives excellent quality, it's highly portable and can work well in interviews. It's only real drawback, in my opinion is its lack of audio monitoring/mixing. That's where it's sister model the H4n really excels. Again, it depends on your shoot, your budget and what it is you're attempting to do with it.
